Wow! What an amazing wedding. Sarah Sousa invited me to join her on Greg and Maria’s big day a few Saturdays ago. I had a fantastic time with Sarah. She is a fabulous woman and I truly enjoyed our time together. Here are a few of my favourite photographs!
Last week I had the incredible pleasure of snapping some photos of my best friend and her gorgeous family. I’ve known my Stephanie for over 14 years!! I can honestly say she is the most beautiful person I have ever met. As you can see, the physical beauty is obvious. What I see when I look at her is her soul. She is made of pure unadulterated sweetness. She isn’t that cavity style sweet that makes one wonder if she is genuine. She is that down to the very core goodness we all wish we could be. Steph is honest, faith full, genuine, intelligent, hardworking, and thoughtful just to name a few. Stephanie is everything I could ever ask for in a friend and I am thankful for her everyday.
My good friend Cindy needed some new head shots for her girls modeling portfolios. Of course I jumped at the chance! Little did I know at the time how amazing it would be to work with them. They were so creative with their poses and we laughed and had a fabulous time. I am so proud of Alyssa for braving all the icky places I made her go and of Avery for putting on a show even after a mysterious hedgehog incident! Thanks Cindy for giving me the opportunity to work with your little lovelies. xoxo
I have been in love with my cousin Jon since I was 4. I was planning on marrying him until my dreams were crushed at 8 years old when I was informed I can not marry my first cousin :( I’m over it now……really I am…..really…..sniffle, sniffle.
Jon is brilliant, beautiful and has the best sense of humour, always making me laugh! Even at my on expense. I was thrilled to take pictures of his perfect family last Friday. His wife Julie is equally as wonderful…..well almost :) Enjoy!

Last Saturday I got the chance to assist at a wedding for one of the nicest people I’ve met in a long while. Amanda Stratton from Living Proof Photography let me tag along to learn the ropes! I had a wonderful time shooting the bridesmaids!! They all had spectacular eyes as you can see. Thanks so much Amanda for sharing the day with me :)
I took the kids out to RIM park a few Saturdays ago, even though it was raining. We each grabbed our rubber boots and umbrellas and set out on the golf cart trail. About half way through our stroll Lucas bent down and shrieked with delight to see a bunch of teeny tiny little frogs hoping merrily across his path. There were literally hundreds and they were just so small…I shuddered to think of how many of the poor little darlings I smooshed under my feet as I walked through them. I was reminded of a time when I was about 6 and my brother Graham and I were at the cottage. He had just gotten a new sling shot and was using rocks to splatter frog brains all over the sandy beach. He was a good shot and the poor things didn’t know what hit them. I was absolutely horrified and I do believe to this day there is a massive shortage of bullfrogs on our lake! Thankfully my Lucas wouldn’t hurt a fly and was kept busy for nearly an hour scrambling around trying to pick them all up and place them safely on the side of the path out of harms way. It was a gorgeous sight and I had to snap a few pics to share with you.
So I got the opportunity to photograph for the Waterloo Oxford Prom last Wednesday. I had a great time but it had an unfortunate side effect in that it made me feel old LOL. It got me thinking about my prom and sent me digging through my old picture boxes. I found one and thought I would share with you guys…..go ahead and laugh I sure did.
I brought a bunch of props with me to this prom in hopes that some might get silly for some pictures. Of course they did not disappoint. A couple of sweet boys even convinced me to get in a picture with them.

I had such an amazing session with Miss Annabelle. She is beautiful, sweet and incredibly charismatic. We chatted so much I wonder how we got anything done at all. I was a tad off my game though and I was constantly leaving things behind….poor Annabelle was needing to pick up after me! I think she really does believe I am a total flake!! Here are a few of my faves!
PS I would like to both thank and blame Michelle and Paul for my TEMPORARY flakiness….oh and Chelsea too….if I could make one of those angry faces here I would!
I think it’s hilarious how intimidated I was (well let’s be honest….still am) about starting a blog! Will anything I have to say be relevant? Maybe, maybe not…I suppose we will soon see. I am hoping this blog will be an outlet for all the crazy ideas and thoughts that are always swimming around in my head. I often wonder if it might be a disease to be unable to turn your brain off LOL.
